Hi Owl's Nest,
January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month, and we want your help!
In the US alone, a human trafficking case is reported approximately every 45 minutes. Trafficking takes away people's freedom - their basic human rights - in the most barbaric ways.
What is Human Trafficking?
Human trafficking means forcing someone to work against their will. The key to all trafficking is not the work the victims are doing – it is the conditions under which they have to work: through some type of force, fraud or coercion.
They might be forced to sell sexual acts, or to work as a waiter or a nanny or a landscaper, in a nail salon or a factory. Most victims are female and most traffickers are male, but not exclusively.
It's important to be aware that in the US, a victim doesn't need to be physically transported from one location to another for trafficking to take place.

How you can help?
We’ve partnered with Hope for Justice International to help raise awareness in the fight against human trafficking. For the entire month of January, $5 for each Liberty hammock sold and $1 for any other hammock sold will go towards this cause.
We believe that together we can make a difference!
Stay safe,
Wise Owl Team
